We’re delighted to announce our appointment by the Dunkeld, Birnam and District Community Development Trust to lead a team of consultants to progress feasibility work for future community-led homes in the extraordinary historic setting known as the “Gateway to the Highlands”. Won as part of a competition process, we are collaborating with Urban Animation, Community Enterprise, Will Rudd and Egis (formerly Thomas & Adamson) on the project.
The study will build on the prior community engagement work of the Trust that informed the Community Action Plan and Community Housing Needs Survey in 2022, as well as last year's Local Place Plan. The latest work will involve further engagement events, with the consultant team keen to collaborate with the wider community to explore options and discuss ideas to help inform the future delivery of any new low-density homes, as well as other possible community uses. We’re excited at the challenge involved in considering appropriate interventions in what is an extraordinary historic setting.
